Privacy policy
Last updated November 3, 2026. This policy covers campuscrusher.com, including Campus Crusher and Campus Walk, run by Looplab Games.
The short version: no accounts, no names and no precise location. Your game state stays in your browser, a random ID counts toward the leaderboards, and Google may use cookies to show ads.
What stays on your device
The games use your browser's local storage for your favorites, display and sort choices, which campuses you've smashed, your Campus Walk passport and walking distance, and whether you've closed a message. This stays in your browser, and clearing your site data removes it.
What reaches our database
Our database is hosted by Supabase. It holds:
- A random player ID. Your browser generates this on your first visit. It isn't linked to your name or email, and it's used to credit your smashes and walking distance to the leaderboards.
- Game totals. How much was smashed or walked, for each campus and player, and when.
- Your network (IP) address, for abuse prevention. The leaderboards have been attacked by scripts, so addresses are used to enforce rate limits and hourly smash counts per address and campus are logged. They are not used for advertising.
- Problem reports. If you use the Report button, we store your message, the campus and your player ID. Please don't include personal information in a report.
Advertising
The site uses Google AdSense to show ads on the school list. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of some other vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info. To learn more, read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where the law requires it, for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Other services your browser contacts
- Cloudflare hosts the site and processes requests, including network addresses, to deliver and protect it.
- cdnjs and other public code libraries, and Google Fonts, deliver the 3D engine, map tools and fonts. Your browser requests these files directly, so those providers receive your network address.
- Buy Me a Coffee and OpenStreetMap are contacted only if you follow a link to them, and their own policies then apply.
What we don't do
We don't ask for your name, email address or precise location to play, and we don't sell personal information.
Children
The site is aimed at a general audience of college students and alumni, not at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information in a report, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your choices and rights
You can clear your browser's site data to remove your local game state and start with a new player ID. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access or delete data about you. Email hello@campuscrusher.com and include your player ID if you can. Because we don't collect names, we may not otherwise be able to tell which records are yours.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
